I’ve always appreciated the chance to revisit things and enhance them. Updates bring a quiet sense of possibility and are just a bit unnerving if you look at them too closely. This website update is a continuation—a place to gather the evolving pieces of my writing life in one spot, to share new developments, and to leave a few breadcrumbs for anyone curious enough to follow them.

Most days, my writing routine remains simple. I sit at my desk with a notebook, a cup of coffee, and at least one dog who still believes he is essential to the creative process. Outside the window, the woods shift with the seasons. Some mornings they’re bright and ordinary. Other mornings they feel like they’re holding their breath.

I’m fine-tuning Blacktail now. It’s a story that’s been with me for years, starting more than 30 years in fact, growing in the background, waiting for the right moment to step forward. I can’t say much yet, but I can tell you this: it’s a book about the things we follow, the things that follow us, and the thin line between the two.

Thank you for being here as the website grows and changes. I hope you’ll stick around. There’s more to come.
